Laura's Pet Portraits Website Re-design

I have recently uploaded the re-designed Laura's Pet Portraits website. It hasn't changed an awful lot - I have just tried to streamline it a little bit, just sticking to the essential pages and I have reduced the number of galleries to two, one for Pet Portrait Commissions and one for Original Artwork.

The Pet Portrait gallery now contains a selection of the variety of types of portrait I offer rather than showing all of the commissions I have completed as the last ones did.

The Original Artwork Gallery is to showcase the range of original art I complete. Anything that is for sale will be added to this gallery.

I have also changed the links pages, reducing that down to one page. I spent several hours going through my old links ensuring they still worked and that repicrocal exchanges were still in place. If anyone with a relevant website would like to take part in a reciprocal link exchange please add my details to your site (details on the links page) then contact me with your information.

Facebook, Links and Website

Anyone that reads this blog regularly will notice that the design has changed a little. This is because I am in the process of redesigning the website and wanted something vaguely similar in design to the new site. It will change again a little bit but not a lot.

When I changed the blog, I lost all my links so if anyone is interested in swapping animal art related blog links please contact me, my details are on the Laura's Pet Portraits website.

You will also notice the Facebook button in the sidebar. Any blog posts I create automatically go to the Laura's Pet Portraits Facebook wall and the Facebook page is also updated with odd snippets of news and also updates and work in progresses on my art projects - currently a Coloured Pencil painting of an Arabian Horse. All you need to do is click 'Like'!

Pet Portraits waiting list

I had an organisational day yesterday and started by writing out a list of the Pet Portraits I currently have outstanding. I have four on the waiting list, which are as follows:

• A greyhound called Rosie, who I started ages ago and is a voucher portrait donated for a website auction in aid of Greyhound Rescue
• A Westie named Jack
• A Brittany Spaniel named Harry, who i've already started
• A surprise for a Birthday

I'm really pleased with having 4 commissions on the list, that's the most i've ever had at one time, except for Christmas.

I also went through my emails ans sorted through the reciprocal link requests, I have quite a few through now, and am a bit fussy about who I swap with - I don't worry too much about the page rank but i'll only link to relevant sites and I don't link to those who send me emails without adding my link to their site first. I just think that's rude!! I had some going back to January!

I have also joined the bandwagon and got a myspace page. It's taking a while to get used to it - the navigation is just useless - i'm still ending up at my edit profile page by accident! I have worked out how to change the background and the fonts and I have a few friends now too.
